It’s a tight pack leaving Fairport Harbor in the season’s first Tall Ships (c) race. Pride of Baltimore II leads the group, followed closely by Appledore IV, the Niagara and Dennis Sullivan. The light southerlies, forecasted to go easterly later today favor Niagara’s lofty square-rigged sail plan. Pride, as usual, will be the vessel to beat, unless the Vikings are allowed to row.
